Tuscany · For US, UK & Canadian couples
From Brooklyn to Borgo San Lorenzo.
Tuscan wedding, captured quietly.
Documentary Tuscany wedding photography for couples flying in from the US. I have shot at most premium villas — and I live a 90-minute flight away.
Why here, why me
Three reasons US couples book me for Tuscany
01 · Local fluency
I've been to your villa
I've photographed at most major Tuscan villas — Borgo San Lorenzo, Castello del Trebbio, Villa Catignano, Castello di Vincigliata. I know the light, the timing, the DOC.
02 · Cost honesty
No transatlantic surcharge
A US-based photographer adds $3–5k in flights and hotels before the shutter clicks. I'm a 90-minute flight from Florence. The travel line on my invoice covers a real economy flight and a modest pensione.
03 · The day itself
Documentary, not posed
No staged "look at the camera" shots. I work quietly in the background. The aunt crying at vows, the tipsy speech, the cypress sunset — captured as it happened.

FAQ
Tuscany-specific questions
When is the best time of year for a Tuscan wedding?
+
Late May, June, and September are the gold standard — long warm days, dry, golden light at 8pm. July and August are honest about being hot (high 30s°C / 95°F+) and book well over a year out. October has the best foliage but a 30% rain probability. I am happy to share a month-by-month breakdown specific to your venue.
How does the legal marriage paperwork work?
+
Most US couples I photograph do their legal ceremony at city hall back home (no guests, 20-minute affair) and treat the Tuscan wedding as a symbolic ceremony. This avoids 6–10 weeks of Italian apostille and translation paperwork. If you do want a legally binding ceremony in Italy, plan for it in your timeline and budget €600–€1,200 for a bilingual officiant.
Can you recommend a planner?
+
Yes — I have worked with about 8 Tuscan planners across different budget tiers and aesthetics. I am happy to send 2–3 introductions based on your guest count and the kind of wedding you want. No commission — just my honest pick.
How far in advance do we need to book?
+
For peak Tuscan season (May/June/September) I take bookings 9–14 months out. Premium villas like Borgo San Lorenzo or Castello del Trebbio book even earlier — sometimes 18 months. October–April is usually 4–6 months notice.
